HISTORY
In 2003 North American Mill Yard Services (NAMYS) began operations at the Bowater Thunder Bay Sawmill. The company provides heavy equipment services in the Sawmill yard, that includes log unloading and loading, lumber transfer of rough and green product and loading of finished lumber. In 2010, North American Mill Yard Services was purchased by the site Manager Dale Levesque, a member of Fort William First Nation.

In 2014 North American Mill Yard Services partnered with Lac des Milles Lacs First Nation and Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation and Dallan was formed. In early 2014 Dallan was the successful bidder for the yard services contract at the Resolute Thunder Bay Pulp and Paper mill. In April 2014 Dallan started operations at the Thunder Bay Pulp and Paper mill. Dallan provides trucking and bucket loader operations feeding bark to the power boilers and also yard maintenance functions.

In October 2014, Dallan was awarded the yard contracts at both the Resolute Ignace and Atikokan Sawmills. Dallan began operating in Ignace in December 2014 and Atikokan in February 2015.
